This two day Rwanda Gorilla Tour takes you to Volcanoes National Park for breathtaking encounters with the Gorillas. It starts and ends in Rwanda.

On arrival, you will be picked by our safari guide and transfer up to your hotel of stay in Kigali city or if you arrive early in the morning you will drive straight to Volcanoes National Park after a city tour in Kigali.

Day 1: Transfer – Volcanoes National park

Early in the morning, have your delicious breakfast, check out and meet our guide for a city tour around Kigali. After city tour, have lunch and transfer up to Volcanoes National Park.

It takes about 2-3 hours for the drive up to Kinigi. You will arrive in evening, check in at the lodge and relax. Later, if time allows you can visit the Iby’wachu cultural village. Accommodation options include:

Day 2: Gorilla Trek – Transfer back to Kigali

Very early in the morning after breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for the briefing conducted to highlight you about Gorilla trek. Do not forget your packed food and drinking water.

After briefing, you will transfer up to the starting point. The Journey to the Jungle starts in search of these apes.

You are allowed to be in their presence for one hour, after descend back to the hotel. Later, drive back to Kigali for your return flight or overnight stay in Kigali. End of Safari.

Day 1: Kampala – Transfer to Bwindi

Early in the morning after breakfast, check out at the hotel and meet our driver guide. The journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park starts via Kampala – Masaka – Mbarara highway including en route stopover at the equator for some information about it, photos, cup of coffee and snacks.

The journey continues for another stopover in Mbarara town to have lunch. After lunch, continue to Bwindi where you will arrive in the evening. Check in at the lodge and accommodation options to stay include:

Mid-range: Gorilla Mist Camp/ Silver back lodge

Luxury: Mahogany springs/ Buhoma lodge

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

Early in the morning, transfer to the Park offices for the short briefing conducted by the available officials to highlight trekkers on how to behave while in the jungle. After briefing, the journey to the jungle starts in a group following the permanently established routes searching for these apes.

Only one hour is allowed to stay in the presence of these apes after discovering their location. The one hour session includes sighting of these apes while feeding, laughing, playing plus taking photos and videos of them.

After the close encounter with these apes in the jungle return to the park offices for certificate award and then see your way to the lodge for relaxation.

Later in the evening you will do a community walk visiting the Batwa people in their local communities for different experiences including cultural performances, way of living and more.

Day 3: Bwindi – Transfer to Queen – Afternoon Boat Cruise.

After morning breakfast, check out and start the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park via the southern Ishasha sector route. Chance are high that you will sight the famous tree climbing lions resting up in the fig tree branches on your way.

Continue with the journey straight to Mweya canteen for lunch as you get prepared for the afternoon launch trip cruise along the Kazinga Channel.

Launch trip cruise along Kazinga Channel offers several panoramic views of areas around and aquatic species like Hippos, crocodiles, water bird species and wild animals which come closer to the banks in need of water.

After boat cruise, check in at the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay. Accommodation options to stay include:

Mid-range: Simba Safari Lodge/ Katara Lodge.

Luxury: Mweya Safari Lodge/ Kyambura game lodge/ Ishasha Wilderness Camp.

Day 4: Game Drive in Kasenyi Plains – Transfer to Kampala

Have your delicious morning breakfast, Check out at the lodge and meet our driver for the morning game drive through the Kasenyi plains to catch the early risers like Kobs, Elephants, Buffaloes, spotted hyenas, reed bucks, different bird species and more.

After 2-3 hours game drive, the stirring journey back to Kampala starts accompanied with stunning views of areas around, rolling hills and terraces. En route stopover is included in Mbarara for lunch and after continue up to Kampala.

Our driver will drop you at the airport for your return flight or Hotel of residence if you are to stay for the night. End of four day amazing Safari in Uganda.
