Full Developed Itinerary – 10 Days Uganda Tour
Day1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Drive from Kampala in the morning with your guide to Murchison Falls, Uganda’s largest park and home to 451 bird species and 76 mammal species. Your eyes will be fed with lots of sightings along the way as you will enjoy a bottle of drinking water. En-route you’ll visit Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for your “big5” experience, 1hour of Rhino tracking and you will Have a stop for lunch at kabalega dinner and then proceed for overnight stay at the lodge in Murchison falls national park and also at the top of the waterfalls.

Day 2: Murchison game drive and Nile boat cruise.
Have an early delicious breakfast, explore the Northern part hosting a high number of Savannah wildlife. This game drive offers great opportunities for photography of elephants, lions, Uganda kobs, buffaloes, giraffes, waterbucks as well as hippos, and in case you are fortunate to even the leopards, in addition to a big number of bird species. Following lunch, have for a 2-hour boat cruise to the bottom of the Murchison falls from where great volumes water escapes through the small gorge forming an immense thunderous roar. During this boat ride, you will see several water birds plus mammals in big numbers like Hippos and crocodiles. Head back to the lodge with a short evening game drive then have dinner and rest at your lodge.

Day 3: Transfer from Murchison Falls to Kibale Forest.
Have breakfast in the morning and depart for Kibale forest National Park. Have Lunch at Fort Portal and proceed in the view of the Rwenzori Mountains, upon you arrive you will check in, have Dinner and overnight stay at the Lodge.

Day 4: Kibale Forest- Morning Chimpanzee trekking- Transferred to Queen Elizabeth national park.
Today you will track the most famous inhabitants of Kibale National Park, the chimpanzees. Chimpanzees share 98% of human genes making them our closest living relatives. They are found in 21 countries throughout Africa, but are most easily sighted in Uganda due to their dense populations. Today, in Uganda, there are approximately 5,000 chimpanzees left in the wild. The Chimpanzee Trekking experience here is done on several well-maintained walking trails. After the tracking of chimpanzees, you will go back to your lodge, have lunch then be transferred to queen Elizabeth National park.

Day 5: Game dive & Launch cruise -Queen Elizabeth.
Scenic Queen Elizabeth National Park is located in south western Uganda and is most often included in visitors’ itineraries. It is the second largest park in the country and located at the base of the majestic Rwenzori Mountain range, next to Lake Edward and Lake George which are joined by the Kazinga channel. Few reserves in the world have such a high biodiversity with landscapes including savannah, bushland, wetlands and lush forests. On your first game drive, it is time to explore the Queen Elizabeth National Park with her 200 kilometers of well-maintained game viewing tracks. We advise for you to be alert and pro-active on your game drive to help the ranger spot as many animals as possible. With an astonishing 5000 hippos, 2500 elephants and over 10,000 buffalo thriving in its grasslands and shorelines. A professional ranger with extensive knowledge on the park and its inhabitants will join you in your car so you can ask your guide to search for specific birdlife or wildlife.
After lunch, you will take a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel in the afternoon and you will see a lot of hippos (more than you can possibly imagine), as well as a variety of other animals that come to the waterhole to drink or bathe. You can expect to see: Buffalo, Crocodile, bathing Elephant, and a range of beautiful birds. This will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of your tour. After the boat-safari, you do a short evening game drive as you drive back to the lodge.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest- Community walk.
After breakfast transfer to Bwindi National park, Bwindi National Park is home to over 346 bird species, 120 mammal species, 400 plant species, 27 frog species among others and covering an area of 331 sq km. Have lunch en route and continue with your journey combined with amazing and spectacular views of banana, tea plantations and the overall green vegetation of the area. On reaching the park check in at lodge of preference. In the evening, go for a community walk where you will visit the Batwa, which is an indigenous group of people that has lived in the forest for many years, enjoy traditional dances from them. Have dinner and overnight stay as you wait the big day for gorilla tracking.

Day 7: Gorilla Tracking and be transferred to lake bunyonyi
After a cup of tea, head to the park head offices with your guide, have a briefing about the dos and don’ts while in the park with gorillas.
After head for gorilla trekking through the mist rain forest, trekking can take 2 hours or up to 6 hours and this is based on the location of the gentle giants. Only 1 hour is permitted to trekkers while with the gorillas. Make sure you carry packed lunch, enough water, sturdy shoes, non-flash cameras, rain jackets, walking sticks for those who are not so fit. After trecking the Gorillas, you will be transferred to Lake bunyonyi for relaxation.

Day 8: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park.
Breakfast and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, which is approximately a 6 to 7 hours drive. You will go through the outstanding scenery in Kabale which is a combination of terraced hills, forests, banana plantations among others. Have lunch in Mbarara and continue to Lake Mburo which is home to over 332 bird species, sitting on an area of 371sq km.
A number of animals made it their home such as Zebras, impalas, warthogs, topis, waterbucks, buffaloes, and reedbucks among others. Upon arrival, you will have a boat cruise on the lake where your eyes will be fed with lots of wonders like the birds, crocodiles, hippos, zebras among others. Have dinner and a night rest.

Day 9: Walking safari in Lake mburo and then be transferred to kampala
As you come to the end of this adventurous safari, you will have breakfast and leave for an early game drive. There you will see numerous zebras, Impalas, warthogs and antelopes living in their many natural habitats.
A good camera is a must have which in this instance offers you better pictures of Ugandas true wilderness. Proceed with your journey to Kampala, with a stopover for lunch in kayabwe and another at the Equator to take photos hence arriving in Kampala in the evening.

Day10: Kampala city tour
Have morning breakfast, after you will proceed to Kampala city where you will have a chance to tour. Here you will visit the mengo kings palace( king of Buganda), Gaddafi Mosque for the best views of Kampala and its history, Boda Boda experience and lastly the market experience where you have a chance to see and observe fresh organic Uganda fruits and vegetables plus food.

Guidelines for trekking mountain gorillas and chimpanzees
- Don’t track the mountain gorillas or even chimpanzees if you have flu or cough.
- The minimum trekking age for both primates is 15 years.
- Maintain a distance of 7 meters when in their presence to avoid the possibility of spreading diseases.
- You are allowed to spend only one hour with the mountain gorillas or chimpanzees.
- Avoid making noise when trekking or when in the presence of chimpanzees and mountain gorillas.
- Avoid littering the Park because rubbish or food leftovers become breeding places for germs.
- Avoiding flash cameras for taking photos of mountain gorillas or chimpanzees.
